FRIENDS OR LOVERS

Is it really hard to fall in love with a friend? I know a lot of people are asking themselves this question. Friendship, for me, forms a bond between two people that is as strong as love. When you become comfortable being with someone, or sharing your deepest thoughts with that person, a connection is formed. For me, the only difference is that love involves romance and intimacy that friends will never share.
When the connection is formed, sometimes people confuse it for love. Sometimes, it really is love. Things become difficult though when one falls in love, but the other person can only offer friendship. And sadly, most people do not take rejection lightly, to the point that when love cannot exist, the friendship is also lost.
We tend to forget how hard it is to find a true friend these days, that we would rather lose that person totally rather than appreciate what the other person can offer.
It may be very hard to still be friends with someone you love, especially if that person cannot love you back. And if still hurts, we really cannot force ourselves to bring back the friendship. In time, though, we may realize that the bond we shared with that person is something special, something that only the two of you can ever have. Eventually, after all the pain and bitterness is gone, we can look back, be thankful, and appreciate the fact that we have found a true friend, and hope that the friendship can still exist.
