Thoughts About Unconditional Love

Earlier, while I was looking for nice songs to listen to, I came across this song. At this point in time, I would be hypocrite if I say that I have a perfect relationship, that I have the perfect husband, and I am a perfect wife. Such declaration would also give me a right to say that we are living in a perfect world.

Yes, I do not have the most perfect life right now. But the emo side of me is starting to die. Years ago, if I had listened to this song, I will definitely be sitting on one corner, asking why I'm in such a mess. I would probably be moping around the things that I don't have and all the things that frustrate me.

But now, I feel like a changed person. The song's main focus is how someone is struggling to give love to someone who is not showing enough reasons to be loved. When I heard the song, I would have to admit that I was able to relate to the song. Then, I was reminded about the concept of unconditional love - that is, loving someone without any reasons or without expecting anything else in return.

Unconditional love is not about having the right reasons for loving someone, but just being in love with that person, the total package. And if you are like me who is just struggling on the concept of unconditional love,I suggest that you listen to this song one more time (just like I did). While listening to the song, you can probably think of the time or instances you felt this way, and then just let go. Delete the song from your playlist, and just think of how it feels to love someone without any reasons or without expecting to be loved in return.

Reach for Your Dreams

The past year has been a year of transformation for me. After my father died, I realized that life is short, and that every moment counts.

I also realized that life is too short we do not have the luxury of time to wait for 10, 20, or 30 years in order to achieve our dreams. If there is an opportunity to reach for our dreams, then we should decide to take it and turn our dreams into reality.

Dreaming is one thing. But engaging in endeavors that will help us reach for our dreams is a different matter. In the end, we only have ourselves to blame if we let opportune moments pass. And if we let pride and fear of change cloud our judgment, we may not be able to achieve what we dream of in this lifetime.

This song represents who I am now. Someone who is willing to take the risk; someone who is willing to change what I have been used to, and someone who wants to share the blessings to other people. May this serve as a wake up call and an inspiration to everyone, to never stop reaching for our dreams and to never forget that once, we have dreamed of great things and that if we believe, we will be able to see how we can reach for our dreams.
